Guitar Hero 4
As we mentioned on our myspace we were lucky enough to be selected to do the motion capture for Guitar Hero 4. Here are a few pictures from the long day at Neversoft. Our good friend Sam Gallagher from the Idyllists played bass with us. Yes we got to wear very tight suits and yes we looked very good in them.

Asia, Greece and The Fourth of July
Dan and I spent the fourth of July in San Diego doing the all American tradition of over eating and watching fireworks with the family. It felt like the good ol days. Jody (our manager) made mention that we’ll be back in Greece a couple of weeks after Asia, all three of us were very excited to hear that. We’ve been continuing our work in the studio this past week, recording new material and finalizing our set list for the Asia dates. We will be featuring three new songs on this tour.

Hope everyone is doing well! Look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our LA show on July 18th. -Josh

There’s Always That
Was supposed to do this nightclub thing today but they blew it off. Must not have been as desperate as they led on. But who wants to be holed up in a downtown nightclub at 9AM anyway? I don’t mind waiting up on them. I got some reading done and laid here on the little couch a bit just thinking about it. The bread would be nice.
We’ll rehearse tonight. It’ll be good to just write. And I’ve got a ton of maintenance I could do. There’s always that. Pull the straplocks off the old Tele and get it ready to sell. Wipe it down. Take photos of all that other stuff to sell. I should get those hoops for the big DeLorean. That would mean getting the head too. I should do that. That resonant side’s been so squirrelly.

Interviews And Greece
I woke up early today, I decided to walk to Starbucks and get my usual tall coffee in a grande cup and sit out on the porch and read my email. It’s hard to believe that we’ve been doing so well in so many foreign countries. Last week we must have had thirty phone interviews with Asia and Europe. I got word last Friday “Sleepless” has been #1 on the Charts in Greece for it’s second week. After doing one of my interviews, I asked the interviewer how well the song was doing, she said, “everyone in Greece knows the ewwwhoo hoo hoo song”. I laughed. Its so funny how you can write a song in a dingy little rehearsal studio over two years ago and see it climb the charts in a foreign land. Life is good. -Josh

The songs include: Sound of Defeat, What went wrong,  Nobody knows me like you do. Our good friend Mervin Lei has been capturing a few moments throughout the recording process. We’ll be posting more photos soon.
